The goals of the ACG are to:
Inform: Facilitate open communication among the entire OCS community through the monthly general meetings and the Coordinators Roundtable.

Motivate: Encourage community participation in school activities, increase volunteerism among the less active parents, and reduce burn-out and overwhelm among the most active, in part through the production of the OCS Navigation Guide.

Unite: Bring together parents from both campuses, those who do pick-up and those who work day jobs, kindergarten parents with parents of the big kids, first year parents with the old-timers.

All Community Group Meetings & Events

There are eight to nine Thursday evening meetings a year, at either North or South campus, with child supervision available for $5 a child. There are presentations from staff, teachers, volunteers, and/or guest speakers, and the last meeting of the year celebrates the accomplishments of the 8th grade class, with presentations of their 8th grade projects, poems, and songs. Each meeting will include a Common Ground Forum, a time for community members to gather to talk about our school.
